Sorry this is a little late, I trusted ComicFury's automatic posting system and it has betrayed me, O fickle technology! Or more probable, I didn't do it right.

I had a lot of fun reading "Daily Life in Traditional China: The Tang Dynasty"
By Charles D. Benn for this page. Well. I just had fun reading it, but my excuse was to think of activities a little prince might have been wanting to do so that I could draw them here! If you're looking for a book with stories about ghosts haunting toilets, I recommend it.

This is too sad.. No wonder he "gave up" his own world back then. D:

I have read the book on the Tang dynasty. Quite interesting stuff. I was planning on doing a story set in a fantastical version of ancient China but gave up when I realized what a massive undertaking it would be to get the world really right... probably years of research. You've nailed it in a few panels, though. Nice job.

Historical settings are so unforgiving! I am slowly buiding up a list of things that are anachronistic in this comic, mostly things I just put in there without thinking (a three legged stool, for example.) Fortunately the story takes place outside of normal society, so that saves me having to show a lot of everyday life things that I would have to research. My next comic is going to be set in a time and place I know more about, for sure!
