Early update, because I'll be away over the weekend. I know, I know, I could just set a page to post automatically in my absence, but isn't a delicately hand-posted page so much more intimate and personal? (...and I am really really impatient ;D)

One of my favourite discoveries when researching for the comic is that Borneo is thought to have been a fairly significant trading centre for China in 600, with goods arriving from both India and China. It makes sense geographically, but I hadn't thought about it before. I don't think Amynta would have been there herself, but she's probably met someone who has met someone who got some goods from there.

Interesting that she's also the artist, though. It seems that most of us artsy types aren't so great at self promotion, but she appears to be free of that curse. ;D
